The Center for Psychology and Law seeks applications from qualified graduate students for the Microsemi fellowship program for the 2015 Spring Quarter. The Peterson fellowship program is supported by a generous gift from Jim Peterson, CEO, on behalf of the Microsemi Corporation. Subject to funding availability, we will appoint 2 Peterson Fellows in the 2015 Spring Quarter. Selected fellows will receive one quarter of support (tuition plus a living stipend) to conduct a research project of their choice. Fellows may use this time to further an ongoing study; however, a tangible product must be submitted at the end of this fellowship. Proposed projects could include tasks such as developing measures or assessment tools, collecting pilot data, or writing original manuscripts to be submitted to appropriate outlets, such as peer-reviewed journals. Research projects must focus on issues pertaining to psychology and law.
Eligibility
Graduate students who have research interests in psychology and legal issues are encouraged to apply. Only graduate students in the School of Social Ecology or Law School are eligible. Priority will be given to students who are affiliates of the Center for Psychology and Law and have attended at least one Center event in the prior quarter.
Application Procedure
Applicants should submit the following:
- an unofficial UCI transcript of their academic record in the current graduate program
- names and contact information of 2 UCI faculty referees
- a current CV
- a completed application form
