DATE: October 10th, 2018

TIME: 5pm

LOCATION: UCI University Club

Please join us for the 2018 Distinguished Fellows Reception. This reception honors the 2016-2018 Distinguished Fellows, criminal defense attorney Kate Corrigan and former California state Senator Joseph Dunn. We are also excited to welcome our incoming Distinguished Fellows, Jackie Lacey and John Manly. Jackie Lacey was sworn in as the 42nd Los Angeles District Attorney in 2012. She is the first woman and the first African-American to serve as the Los Angeles County District Attorney. John Manly, partner and founder of Manly, Stewart and Finaldi, is California’s preeminent attorney representing victims of sexual abuse, and has been named one of California’s “Top 100 Attorneys” by the Los Angeles Daily Journal.

The Distinguished Fellows program promotes collaboration between esteemed community professionals, graduate students and faculty in psychology and law. Distinguished Fellows contribute their time and expertise through serving on the Center’s Advisory Board, providing professional mentorship of current graduate students, and collaborating with Center faculty to present on their area of expertise. To help bridge the gap between science and practice, each year Distinguished Fellows co-lead a symposium with a faculty member, to present two sides of a topical issue related to psychology and law.

Light refreshments will be served. Please join us at 5pm for a UCI graduate student poster session.

Be sure to RSVP using the paperless post link by September 28th, 2018. This event is free and open to the public, but RSVPs are required.
